PAPILLON: UP-TO-DATE BIOMETRIC SOLUTIONS

On March 5, 2010, PAPILLON’s specialists conducted a seminar for forensic ballistic experts from the police force of Bangkok and some provinces of Thailand. The seminar was arranged by Saengvith Science Co. Ltd., our partner in Thailand. To demonstrate the capabilities of ARSENAL, a demo system was assembled comprised of a workstation and PAPILLON BS-7.00.3 USB ballistic scanner.

One should make a special mention of high-level organization of the event – live video of all going on was shown on a big screen and on two LCDs on both sides. About 50 ballistic experts from Bangkok and from the provinces came to participate in the seminar. In the first part of the seminar, the audience was offered an introductory presentation of the system. The key functionality of ARSENAL ABIS was demonstrated ‘live’ with the workstation and ballistic scanner. Last, the Thailand experts tested the system themselves. They provided real exhibits, they brought with them, and evaluated the processes of entry and encoding as well as the results of automatic searches. The experts were satisfied with the high-tech solutions delivered by ARSENAL ABIS and arrived at a common conclusion that ARSENAL is a flexible and developing system notable for a range of effective features that are unavailable in the systems of other manufacturers.
