PAPILLON-M is especially designed for forensic technicians to provide on-the-spot access to automated fingerprint/palmprint databases and resources for fast and reliable results in any environment.

PAPILLON-M is able to operate independently, i.e. as a stand-alone PAPILLON AFIS, booking station or express ID check terminal, or to be a part of a network operating as a remote PAPILLON AFIS station.

With the PAPILLON RASTR software, the PAPILLON-M complex enables the expert to apply the most recent technology for image processing.

PAPILLON-M supports a wide range of communication channels for connectivity and remote interaction with the PAPILLON AFIS databases:

• GSM (GPRS), CDMA
• INMARSAT Regional Broadband Global Area Network (Inmarsat RBGAN)
• Fixed communications (dial-up lines, dedicated telephone channels)

More than 160 of PAPILLON-M complexes are effectually being exploited throughout Russia.

To fully use all functional capabilities of the complex, the user is required to be a forensics expert or a fingerprint technician.
