The PAPILLON LIVE SCANNER systems are running integrated into AFISs. They are also capable of functioning as remote booking terminals, both transportable and stationary, communicated with central AFIS sites thereby augmenting automated fingerprint and palmprint record collections on both regional and national levels.

The capabilities of the PAPILLON LIVE SCANNER are adapted for a wide range of civil applications including immigration and access control. No previous experience in fingerprinting and no knowledge in dactyloscopy are required to master simple steps and procedures. Being easy-to-learn and easy-to-use, with a user-friendly and intuitively comprehensible interface, the system provides all necessary tools necessary to customize the data entry fields and number and type of images required for particular environments. Special options necessary for designing hard copies of record cards are also available.

The software module designed for comparing a fingerprint against fileprints stored in the LIVE SCANNER system database is a ready solution for a 1-n identification to be used in any access control systems. To realize searches, the system utilizes patented and approved by the AFIS practice mathematical algorithms for matching fingerprint/palmprint images.
